The simple fact of the matter is that U.S.A. imports from Communist China
constitute less that 9% of all U.S.A. imports. What exactly is "tons" of jobs? I haven't come across that expression in economics or accounting. Please quote the factual numbers. Everything else is pure Neo-Liberal Socialist propaganda. "Billy Smith" wrote in message ... Made in China Posted August 6th, 2007 by rabach in a.. Globalization Fellow Americans, The time to wake up and quit buying poisoned junk from China is now. Not only has China imported tons of good paying American jobs but they are exporting tainted products. Are they intentionally trying to kill us? Are the corporations that are using or manufacturing goods in China purposely involved in a international conspiracy to kill and demoralize us while using China as the target for blame rather than them? Over the past few years there has been many goods made in China that have been tainted with lead and other toxins. Recently China has started producing foodstuffs that are used as ingredients in our food products, on occassion they manufacturer the entire product. Will this increase in the future? I certainly hope not and after reading the article I wish for you to join in a boycott against their products. We can start with a story of a toy sold at WalMart for babies. The crib toy constantly uttered the words "I hate you" to the baby while it was in the crib. However a savvy group of parents realized that their child was being demoralized and possibly psychologically damaged before they could even carry on a simple conversation. A link to a article follows below: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/ar...TICLE_ID=35633 Next we have the numerous products that are targeted to children containing lead. I will list a couple of the more notable recent examples. First is the example of lead being found in baby bibs. Imagine putting a bib on your child as your parents did for you before every meal. Only a careless and evil person or persons would ever harm a child by not ensuring that the products sold are safe. What is wrong with these Chinese goods and Walmart? A link follows below: http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/05/...iness/bibs.php Your child is a little older now and they are off to school. So are you going to waste money in paper bags or just purchase your child a new vinyl lunch box for them to take their lunch to school in? Well while they are in class and their lunch in the locker the lead from the lunch box may be taking its toll. Not only is your baby not safe but your youngster is now having to fight off lead at lunch time. A link follows below: http://www.cehca.org/lunchboxes.htm The most recent major recall is with Fisher Price toys. While most are aware of this recent event it is just another example of Chinese made products going awry. Who's to blame, China or Fisher Price? In my opinion both. Regardless of whether Fisher Price has the product made in America or China they have an obligation to the consumer to ensure that their product is safe. A link to an article about this current situation follows below: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/01/toy....ap/index.html While we can clearly see that not only are children nowadays exposed to the evils of man in their toys and the toxins placed there by irresponsible corporations our pets are also at stake. The recent pet food recall awoke America to the dangers of Chinese made food ingredients. Should America allow our food to be made in a different country? I will at least assert that they should be required to label any ingredient that is not made in America with the country of origin. In case you had your head in the sand about this situation a link follows below: http://www.usatoday.com/money/indust...od-china_N.htm These incidences of lead and toxins in Chinese products are by far only the tip of the iceberg. In fact this seems to be an everyday event and probably most Americans have some tainted Chinese product in their home right now. For an example of some more products read the article listed below: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/ar...TICLE_ID=56056 Last, but surely not least, even the health advocates are under attack from the Chinese. Those who are trying to eat nutritous and wholesome foods might be surprised that their products also contain toxins imported from China. Why are these companies so cheap that they cannot produce these ingreidents in America? After all, anyone who has ever bought organic food at a health food store knows that the prices are usually much higher. A recent example occured with the Veggie Booty that contained salmonella. The tainted ingredient was imported from China, the article follows below: http://www.yourlawyer.com/topics/ove...oty_salmonella Americans it is time that we stood our ground and told these giant corporations, like Walmart, that we are not going to purchase their Chinese made products. Not only are they potentially toxic they are often made inferior to similiar products in the past. Your best voice is your money and where you choose to spend it. Why should we continue to support China? Have you not looked out your window lately and seen the gloomy clouds of the economy building into a giant storm? Do you not realize that by supporting corporations who purchase or manufacturer goods in China that we, as Americans, are financing our own destiny? The time is now to act, not later. Ask your congressman or woman to insist that products are properly tested and food ingredients are labeled with the country of origin. We must take a stand not only to protect our loved ones and pets but also to protect America. |
