Unless price is no object and you are willing to put up with the
hassle of a lab-grade receiver you probably don't want "The Best Table
Top Radio". If what you want is a radio that will allow you to catch
a lot of broadcast, amateur and utility stations. In today's world a
high performing receiver does not have to be a tabletop, i.e. plug
into the wall and can't be moved radio. Consider the Eton E1 receiver
as one that has lots of features for manipulating signals. It works
equally well as a tabletop or portable.
