Is there another NDB somewhere that could be selected to triangulate? The Basecamp NDB could be too far away I guess you use a loop for DFing NDB's? I have two ways to locate ndbs. One is a Bendix 555 marine rdf. However, I found a relatively small copper pipe loop (square, 1 ft on a side) with a wellbrook ala100 works much better. I have it set up so that I can place a compass on it. When I did the original DF, I had an impromptu loop made out of wire mounted on a paper plate. Yeah, very improvised. You realize there is nothing on that route diagram that can be verified except for the bty based waypoint. |
