"Radio: We have met the enemy and he is us!"

Emmis - Jan. 2 - $8.24; Dec. 31 - $3.85.

Entercom - Jan. 2 - $28.18; Dec. 31 - $13.69.

Radio One - Jan. 2 - $6.75; Dec. 31 - $2.34.

Spanish Broadcasting System - Jan. 2 - $4.11; Dec. 31 - $1.85.

Westwood One - Jan. 2 - $7.06; Dec. 31 - $1.99.

Salem just missed the 50% loss club by a prayer: Jan. 2 - $11.95; Dec.
31 - $6.59.

CBS fell $31.18 to $27.25. (True, there's writer's strike and the Katy
Couric gaffe - but putting one in Joel Hollander's back may have
effectively tackled, at least temporarily, the downward spiral at the
radio division.)

Clear Channel, which wanted to privatize by year end - but couldn't -
is down $35.54 to $34.52 - a price artificially inflated by the $39.90
offering price by BainCapital and Thomas H. Lee. There's a deal that's
close to turning into a cut and run. If Bain and Lee cut their losses
and back out of that deal - Clear Channel will be in free fall.

Theirs isn't the only deal that could implode. The Merrill Lynch bull,
already gelded by the credit and mortgage collapse, is taking a second
look at the privatization deal they concocted with Cumulus. When they
announced it in July, Cumulus was at $11.75. Last night it closed at
$7.25.

Obviously you do not know anything about issues of liability and avoiding
probate.

For investments, a sensible person would at least maintain investments in a
brokerage account where the shares are in a street name so they can be
traded instantly. Such an account would be under a living trust to avoid
probate and for certain tax advantages.

A business should always be in some form of a corporation to protect the
owner(s) from liability issues. The assets of the corporation would be held
under a corporate name, but the assets of the individual owners or investors
are protected from the debts or liabilities of the business activity.

Actually, the company I work for went private at a very nice share price.
Those with options got big checks, too.

Meanwhile, you're still a dumbass Canuck!

Yea, radio is a growth-industry and crappy HD radios will save it!

Great! But I'll still call 'em tomorrow!

Have the FBI been around yet to check up on your unregistered weapons
cache? They like your profile, boy. You fit the lunatic mold to a 'T'.

It seems to me your good friend Cuhulin was telling this newsgroup just
a little while ago that the only good Air Marshall is a dead one. Did
you put him up to that craziness?

Remember? It was only a few months after you bought those ten thousand
rounds of communist Chinese ammo for 69 bucks

It was Russian ammo. I don't like the Chinese stuff.

We know, Bozo. You'd be well advised to jeep your perversions out of an
ostensibly family oriented newsgroup.

Jeep? Were you drunk when you posted that?

And I'll bet none of them could be bothered to crow about it on a
usenet newsgroup dedicated to shortwave.

Even the faux Hispanics, such as yourself? Wow, you can go buy
yourself
some fun
in Tijuana now, can't you?

No, I bought Suncor at $19 with it.

What you buy, two or three shares?

Add 4 zeros.

Uh-huh. And whose name is it in? Certainly not yours. Just like those
radio
stations in SA.

Like everything you've done your entire life...
...in someone else's name!

Yes, but this doesn't imply that those with brokerage accounts
necessarily tell the truth 100% of the time. Even if you're only
trying to throw up a smoke screen here, you'll have to be more subtle
than this.
