Thanks Billy,
I was about to say that I'm fairly well versed in my digital modes and tools for decoding them and this is not a standard digital mode that I'm used to. I've heard it before on the bands, but usually not on a frequency range that annoys me. Also, I'm using a ICOM R75 and she does not ghost like a the cheat receivers. Noooo way this is something else, and I also Heard the same noise across the same Frequency range on DEGEN 1103 and its wire antenna. So this is differently Broadband spectrum wash / noise. Anyone else heard this noise before and willing to put forth a creditable suggestion ? I have a recording of this BLOODY annoying spectrum noise, which I'm sure is OVER HORIZON RADAR or something very similar, can anyone else please confirm this ? These are "linked" modes, with a pause between transmissions to wait for the ACK or NAK from the other station. All of the TOR modes sounds sort of like a cricket -- nothing at all like the signal in question sounds. |
