BarnegatDX,

Yeah Not Only A Lot Easier - But at least Ten Times
More Cost Effective and Environmentally Friendly too.

* * * RANT * * * (OT) : Basic Direct Action System for Dealing
with Small "Universal" {Common} Household Hazardous Waste

One-Pass Trunk Once-a-Week "On-Schedule"
- - - versus - - -
Ten Cars Everyday Five Days-a-Week making a Special
{Extra} Trip to Keep their Appointments at the Hazardous
Waste Handling-Recycling Center.

But that one Truck Picks-Up Hundreds of Households
Everyday Five Days-a-Week for a Thousand Households
a Week : Which is Way More That 10-Cars by 5-Days
? What About The Rest of the Small "Universal" {Common}
Household Hazardous Waste . . . ?

Yeah You Are Right . . . Those Cars making that Special
{Extra} Trip are the 1-in-5 ~ 1-in-10 Extra Good Citizens
who are Environmentally Conscience : While the 'other'
4-in-5 ~ 9-in-10 average citizens continue to drop their
Batteries and CFLs into thier Garbage Cans and Polute
the Environment as usual.
! It's In the Land Fill - It's Polution !

? Why . . . Because They Can. - Because of Bad Public
Policy : Because they is no Positive Cost Effective Curb
Side System to Ensure that these "Universal" {Common}
Hazardous Waste Items : Batteries and CFLs are Recycled.

THE SOLUTION IS A DIRECT ACTION SYSTEM AT THE
HAZARDOUS WASTE SOURCE : THE HAZARDOUS
WASTE GENERATOR -IE- THE HOME
The Basic Direct Action System for Dealing with Hazardous
Waste (HW) Items : Batteries and CFLs
1 - Weekly Curb-Side Pick-Up by Trucks designed to
keep the these two HW Items separated from the
normal Household Garbage and Recycleables.
2 - Using the Orange-n-Black Hazardous Waste Bag /
Box Weekly for the First 3-Years to insure that People
Get-the-Message. Then after 3-Years as needed when
the Home Owner gets a Bag-Full of HW.
3 - In-School Child Education about the new HW Program
"The Orange Bag" with Home-Work for both the Child and
Parent "To Do" At Home Together. Teaching the Next
Geneation of Average Citizens Not-To-Be Poluters -but-
Recyclers and Environmentally Conscience

Environmental Awareness Begins in the Home and Grows
with the Children Learning Together with Their Parents.

Environmental Awareness and Action -is- Good Citizenship.

Default (OT) : The Best 2700 Kelvin Compact florescent bulbs

Finally found one ; 2700 Kelvin ( warm color)

15 Watt == 950 lumens, ~= to a 60 watt incandescent bulb

Tested it with a Short Wave Radio, 300 miles from WBCQ

interference only detectable within 3 feet or closer to the bulb
( Neat, eh ?)

Link below

- also found one ( 2700 Kelvin, nice warm color ) made by Longstar

http://www.energy-superstore.com/ind...OD&ProdID=1189

AND THEY LAST FOR SEVEN YEARS ! ! !

Not Only A Lot Easier - But at least Ten Times More Cost Effective

& No turning on the light & watching it blow out

Generally a better way to light your house..

www.devilfinder.com Cheap aluminum foil lights

I read about those cheap aluminum foil lights somewhere on the internet
about two or three weeks ago.

Back in the 1970s, a local W.T.Grant department store was closeing
down/going out of business.I bought a Philips flourescent light.It is a
three seperate pieces light.One part of the light slides into another
part and the light bulb plugs into one of those parts.Before I installed
that light in my bathroom I wrote down the year and date on that light
with a ball point pen.That light lasted fourteen and a half years untill
the light bulb finally burnt out.I still have that light, nowadays it is
sitting on a shelf in my bathroom cabinet.If I could find a new
replacement light bulb, I would see if that light would start working
again.
