Greetings Michael..
I'm well aware of the history and use of the slogan "ham" but the term previously used here was "Hammies." No where in those two links do you see that term used - probably for good reason. While Rod, AC6V puts a lot of work into his Web site, I wouldn't take it as absolute gospel on every little detail.
