Already did a "D" Battery Test in the Eton E1 Radio.

Eton E1 Radio - In Seach of the Low Battery Icon
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ETON-E...o/message/1031

* Over One Hundred Hours (100 Hrs) on a Fresh Set
of New Alkaline Batteries before the [LOW BATT]
Icon comes on (is visible).

* TOTAL - 103 Hours of Operating my Eton E1 Radio
usingDC Power {Batteries} with 'moderate' (1/4) Audio
Volume listening on the AM, FM and Shortwave Bands;
with the Dial (LCD) Light (LEDs) Turned 'OFF'.

"AA" Battery Run-down-Time Rough Approximation :
Duracell Size "D" Alkaline Battery 15000 mAh -versus-
Sanyo Eneloop "AA' 2000 mAh would come out to about
14 Hours of Listening at 2~3 Hours per Day; and that
would be about 5~7 Days of Listening on a Set of "AA"
Rechargeable NiMH Batteries. The "AA" NiHM Batteries
would have to be required to Recharge about Once-a-Week.

yes it is that simple - e1'ing you all ~ RHF
