This little Sony can be bought for less that $15, has super performance in both AM and FM modes, has excellent audio and sensitivity and works for days on a single AA battery. And, if you loose it or it gets stolen you’re out nothing. You just buy another one Now, that’s cool. Now tell me again about how neat "HD" radio is? jw JW - I have the excellent $10 Sony ICF-S10MK2 pocket-radio, that will go about 200 hours on two AA batteries. The new HD chipsets have a battery life of 2 hours, and comes with iBiquity's HD chipset fees! I've got a pair of Toshiba portable FM-only pocket sets. About twice the size of a postage stamp. Run on single AAA's. Excellent stereo reception into a pair of Sennheiser phones. Then, again, I've also got a Delphi MYFI XM that will go several hours on a lithium battery. No iBiquity crap, there, either. |
