There was a bogus press release by iBiquity last May stating that both
Samsung and SiPort were sampling HD IBOC application specific chip or
chip set at that time. I can then find several articles by technical
news sites that all appear to stem from this one bogus iBiquity press
release but that's about it.

You will notice that wherever this news is mentioned that there are no
part numbers mentioned. This is a very good indicator of the press
release being pure marketing BS.

The SiPort web site still looks like a shell site with no news about an
HD chip or chip set.

An application specific IBOC chip or chip set is still vaporware as far

chipset developed by Samsung. Although portable, it is still a

Yea, it seems the SiPort chipset is dead - the supposed one from
Samsung still needs a power-brick. LOL! Everythig about HD Radio is a
lie - Struble wants to get his fraudulent IPO of fthe ground, then
beat it the hell out of Dodge.
