You mean "He COULDN'T have cared less".

What you wrote means he cares NOW, so he COULD have cared less.

I he COULDN'T care less, it means he doesn't give a damn now, so it's
impossible to care any less.

Glad to be of help.

Actually, the phrase "could have" in the kings english has historically
been used in the past tense. See:

Glad to be of service in correcting your incorrectness

"Clichés are especially prone to scrambling because they become
meaningless through overuse. In this case an expression which originally
meant “it would be impossible for me to care less than I do because I do
not care at all” is rendered senseless by being transformed into the
now-common “I could care less.” Think about it: if you could care less,
that means you care some. The original already drips sarcasm, so it’s
pointless to argue that the newer version is “ironic.” People who misuse
this phrase are just being careless."

People who worry about it ad nauseum are mentally ill. Like you, Rickets.

Rush Limbaugh is not really a conservative. He's just an actor playing
one on the radio. He started his career in radio by playing Jeff
Cristy, a wanabee cool rock 'n' roll DJ. The untalented slob got fired
twice as Jeff Cristy.

And he could have cared less. He "never" wanted to be a
dumb ass DJ, that was just a way for him to get a foot in the door
of being in radio. And BTW he was fired for trying to be what he

And Benny, your wrong. he wanted to be a DJ more than anything.
as now, back then he loved the sound of his own voice. with an
ego as big as Gateway Center. he cried to the Frat brothers at
Pitt like a little sissy Mary. and, the bothers made fun of him.
thats what made him leave the Burg. and, after all these years,
the boys on the big K still make fun of him. which BTW, went
went HD a few weeks ago. sounds like crap.
