I did, but with mixed results. I was using the Turboprint driver for the Canon 5000. That doesn't work any more because of an obsoleted dependency. I don't want to pay again for the new version, 2+ something. The majority of my self installed executables got wiped out in the upgrade, including the Linux version of rx320. I had to recompile. When I did the upgrade, I didn't realize so much was going to be overwritten. It's a good thing I had a separate partition called /store that didn't get changed. All my downloads live there. My /home partition is never formatted either. mike -- __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / / / /\ \/ /\ \/This space for rent/\ \/ /\ \/ / /_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ Densa International© 'Think tanks cleaned cheap' Due to the insane amount of spam and garbage, I block all postings with a Gmail, Google Mail, Google Groups or HOTMAIL address. I'd upgrade that but it's a custom distro with all the EeePC bugs worked out. |

The edit beast in the garage upgraded uneventfully, and it has a lot of custom stuff (10 X 10 Envy 24 soundcard, etc.), but that's a different kernel (Ubuntu Studio). |

Unless they figure out a way to disinterr and reanimate Ronald Reagan and get him to give the keynote speech. LOL. What a bunch of losers and failures. |
