Bob that Redsun RP2100 (Kaito KA2100 & CC Crane SW) is sure the most
satisfying portable radio I've owned. I can't envisage anything that
beats it on MW DX, it's just superb. Nice to know it outperforms your
RF2200 there. Still available from China for $110 as well.
