The Coast Guard and Air Force have tried to rescue 22 crewman from a freighter
90 miles off Galveston. http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline...ane-ike-r.html Per the Houston Chronicle the rescue was called off at 1949. Hope they all weather the storm. Currently monitoring 8983, 5696 and 5680 here. dxAce Michigan USA |

According to what I just heard on 8983 it would seem as though the 580-foot
freighter 'Antalina' with the 22 crewmembers has been able to get underway and is making about 6 knots. dxAce wrote: The Coast Guard and Air Force have tried to rescue 22 crewman from a freighter 90 miles off Galveston. http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline...ane-ike-r.html Per the Houston Chronicle the rescue was called off at 1949.
