Default Newbie with Sony ICF-2001 question

I picked up a icf-2001 (not 2010) for $10 at a garage sale and am wondering if
anyone had any experience with one. I have the 2010 which of course looks very
similiar. Apparently, manufactured from 1980-83. I've googled for the user
manual but so far, only have found pages 1-11.

It works well so far, but tonight will try SW.

Any complete user manual or comments on the radio would be highly appreciated.

thanks

Other than hideously high battery consumption it's OK.

I do have some of the manual including battery usage. On AM, the manual says
about 9 hours....sheesh. I also have a Radioshack DX-396 and one of the
shortwave websites ran it for 72 hours plus on three size Cs. I guess no such
luck with this Sony.
