So that indicates 1% of how many total? 1% of the average radio listenership during that time period. That would be over 10,000 people? 13,400 for the December ratings book. Compared to, let's say, KIIS, with 84,000. Or 52,000 for Class A KRCD. 13,400 for the most part upscale listeners. What is the TSL for KCRW vs KIIS? Comparing a CHR, which forces high cume by playing only a few hit songs with a long form, mostly talk, station is absurd. KIIS is second among adult listeners with incomes above the US median; KCRW is 11th. Absurd is the operative term here. KIIS plays ****ty music for brain-dead zombies, KCRW serves intellectuals with in-depth news, public affairs, cultural programming, and yes, a lot of music in between. Next question: Which station would you pick if you could only listen to one or the other? |
