Default CB interferencee to tv sets in the 70s and 80s

Absolutely true. I sat in my driveway one evening talking to my CB
girlfriend, while my wife and mom were inside watching channel 5. There was
hell to pay when I went inside.


27 + 27 +27 = 81

CH 5 76-82 MHz

That would put most interference nearer the Chroma and Aural carriers.
