In for that nitpicking nitwit that insists XLNC1 isn't the callsign they go by - http://www.xlnc1.org/index.php XLNC1 is a name the station has chosen to go by. The call letters, as assigned, are XHLNC. A station can name itself whatever it wants, within reason. But the licensed calls can not be "XLNC1" as Mexico does not have the XL-- prefix to use, and only licenses new FMs with the XH---- prefix; no numerals are part of any call set as Mexico has not used numerals in calls since before the 70's, when on-channel AM repeaters had consecutive numbers after them. |
