Ford was largely responsible for expanding the German industrial base which was instrumental in Hitler's war effort. Ford was looking for cheaper labor, but those plants were quickly converted to roll out tanks. Lindbergh was a paid consultant to the Germans, helping them set up the Luftwaffe. He was enamored by their Spartan-like military discipline. I challenge anyone to show how any left-wing groups had anything to do in supporting Hitler. Well, there WAS that Stalin guy... |

Well, there WAS that Stalin guy... Uh, Stalin, regardless of his own atrocities, was fooled like everyone else signing treaties with Germany during the '30s. Hitler was at odds with Stalin during the entire last half of the '30s. Right-wing industrialists propped up German military infrastructure. Now what did Stalin do for Hitler? Don't demean the 15 to 20 million Soviets that died fighting Hitler, either. A toll far, far higher than the US had to endure. Mike |

Hitler was mad as a hatter, trying to fight a war on so many simultaneous fronts (along with turning on his allies in the middle of it all..) |

Hitler always crossed his fingers behind his back when signing any treaty and decided not to honor the nonaggression treaties he signed with the Russians starting a war on both fronts for the Germans once he thought he had the western front under control so don't thank the Russians thank Hitler for making his biggest mistake in the WW2. -- Telamon Ventura, California |
