I agree Burr, though we are talking about "slightly" different
antennas. One of my three outside antennas is the Alpha Delta DX
Sloper antenna.

Four to five years ago he (ham buddy) hooked up, I guess it was his
scope, and a few other gadgets to check my six antennas....and he said
"that sloper is bad ass Gregg, if you ever want to get rid of it, let
me know." As a ham, with his extra ( I think I said that right)....I
never doubted my antennas after that. I remember I cut X amount of
lengths of wire and fanned it out so too speak underneath the length
of antenna with the measurements and seperation that he said. I had no
idea it had to be so precise, all of you that know what I'm talking
about are probably laughing at me now. ;-)

But it really is a great antenna, even all bands except one IMO -
though he said "it wasn't that bad", when you get wayyy up there it
isn't as good IMO and according to his gadgets. But if I do listen up
there (which is rarely) I just flip the switch and listen off another
antenna (either the Antron or my Yagi). I really didn't like spending
the $$$$ for it (the sloper), but looking back on it now, it was
handing over the money at the counter for superb results for eleven
years now and absolutely no headaches, other than three times I
changed the coax which is about right. It is protected (coax) and the
weather hardly gets to it and though we get the occasional ice storms
and last year for the first time in Ohio history -- the hurricane
winds, both the antenna and mast has stayed true. I would recommend it
to anyone in this group.
