At Tan Son Nhut, I drove a Deuce and a half truck almost every day.I
helped get ammo loaded on pallets and banded up.A lot of times I used a forklift and I took ammo to the hard stand.I had to step into an office and phone a certain phone number and let them know there is a load waiting on the hard stand.I always had to say, WORKING, when I stepped into that office. An Army guy by the name of Seargent Funk from Mechanicsville,New York was always sitting at one of the desk inside of that office. I used to drive the truck every morning right after chow to the front gate and pick up half a dozen Vietnamese guys who worked with us at the ammo dump. There was a Vietnamese gal and I had to drop her off at an office on our way to work. One of the Vietnamese guys said she is a butterfly girl, she flys from man to man. cuhulin |
