G .. qra - io83lk Most likely a remote studio feed from South America. The only way to find out is record and post it on a web page so someone can help you translate it. -- Best Regards, Keith http://home.comcast.net/~kilowattradio/ Free Usenet Text Group Access http://www.eternal-september.org/ |

Maybe an STL? 3rd harmonic 9895 kHz? I agree as to the harmonic. Also check your IF in your radio: Where does 29.68 +/- twice your IF land you? If in the 26 MHz range, sometimes those were used for broadcast radio links. 29.68 is allocated to the Amateur Radio Service, which forbids music and should be FM on that frequency. |

It's allocated that way for the US, not necessarily elsewhere. Everywhere but the US, 40m is an international broadcast band (or, most of it is). IIRC, our 10m band here in Korea stops around 29 MHz. Our 2m stops at 146 (I get taxicabs on the upper end of my 2m rig, but can't legally transmit there) |

There are no internationally recognized exceptions to this range (like there are for other bands). |
