A Lifetime Guarantee.

I remember when Guarantees really meant something.If you bought
something and you weren't satisfied for whatever reason, you could take
it back and get your money back, No Questions asked!.Along came
Warranties, Warranties with all kinds of Loopholes!
Am I lieing?

I'm almost as ancient as you, and aside from Craftsman tools, McIntosh
amps, and Zippo lighters, I can't think of anything with a
no-questions-asked lifetime guarantee.

I own some old Zippo lighters, and also some old weird lookin lighters,
and also some old weird lookin ash trays, and also an old ash tray stand
which has a Greyhound Dog for a handle.Some of those old thingys like
that are Very Collectible nowadays.

Shop the junk shops and thrift stores and flea markets and yard sales.
I did all of that many years ago when the buying was Good.

I remember Radio Shack "Lifetime" tubes.. a lifetime warrantee that simply
vanished when it became inconvenient to continue it.

Nowadays I use those cheapo disposable lighters, I buy them in packs of
ten or twelve at the Wal Mart store.Use em up and throw them away.
It's a disposable World out there.

Radio Shack will still replace the tubes it sold with a lifetime
warranty. However, the replacement tubes. in general, will not have
the same guarantee. Most RS managers know about this policy, but some
of the newer cellphone pushers may not.
