Default Repair facility for Sony SW-07 (Besides Laredo)?

Hi folks,

I inadvertently pulled out the whip antenna to my Sony SW-07 a couple of
weeks ago. It got loose over time, and when attempting to fix it, I totally
pulled it out of the radio! Anyway, the radio now works (and not all the
time) only when you physically hold the antenna in the radio so that the
inside end of the antenna touches some sort of internal connection under the
speaker holes.

I *really* like this radio, and I want to get it fixed! However, I really
would rather not deal with the Sony repair facility in Laredo, TX. I've had
dealings with them before and felt their customer service was really
lacking, and I had to really ride them in order to get my previous repairs
done correctly and in a timely manner.

Is there another entity out there in shortwave radioland that can repair my
unit? All it's good for now is being a digital radio. I used to listen to
the SW-07 late at nite before going to sleep (next to my pillow), so using
the other larger antenna at night would be cumbersome.

Thanks,

Jean in VA

Find someone who knows how to solder. An Asian teenager perhaps?
