Band opening on 27MHz

Copying CB channel 6 from southeastern US (So. C., Alabama, etc.) in MN
at 1430 UTC 20/9. Nothing unusual reported on the propagation sites;
what are possible explanations at this time of year? (MUF about 11 MHz,
Solar Flux 24, don't know Pl_index_A).
