It astounds me that you can actually believe that. All of them are criminals in the sense that they are, by definition, violating our pathetically weak immigration laws. And we know that -- in addition to those merely running from incredibly corrupt and criminal governments and impoverished, wrecked nations -- some of them are on the run because of their violence and crimes in their homelands, and find it more congenial to be in the United States when "the heat is on" back home. Furthermore, we know that 83 per cent. of murder warrants in Phoenix are for illegal aliens -- and 75 percent of those on their most wanted list are illegal aliens. So a huge number of these people are indeed criminals on several levels. http://tinyurl.com/2b92s66 These people also come from a culture that engenders rape on a mass scale. http://tinyurl.com/28xh4s5 It is estimated, according to Tim Johnson of the McClatchy Newspapers, that _six out of ten_ migrant women is raped in Mexico. That indicates to me that a huge percentage of the Mestizo population falls into the criminal category. I don't want them bringing the culture -- or the genes -- that cause such behavior into my nation. I don't think it's a good idea for us to become like them, which is what _will_ happen over time if we permit the invasion to continue. Of course, I have absolutely nothing against the immigration of Spanish-speaking, Spanish-descended people into the United States. They can come here in unlimited numbers with my blessing. But, as much as I like them, I don't think we should allow the civilized Spanish of Central America to send their surplus underclass population into our nation. With all good wishes, Kevin, WB4AIO. --http://kevinalfredstrom.com/ At the risk of great oversimplification, I think our nation - and all nations - should pressure the most highly defective governments on the planet to straighten up their operations and begin to serve their people instead of their own pockets. The US government isn't perfect by any means, but I work with people from C. and S. America who claim that the US is paradise compared to the incredibly corrupt and disgraceful majority of governments south of the border; and I have no reason to doubt them. I am not sure that our immigration laws are that weak right now - I think they are poorly enforced, however. If fixing the law to enhance enforcement is proposed I am all for it. I am greatly conflicted about what to do with the illegal immigrant people who have already arrived. Sending them back seems cruel; having them stay here allows us to eat cheap produce; ideally they could be assimilated into the usual US culture and become contributing members of society. I cannot say whether this is realistic, as I do not claim to be a sociologist. OTOH, they are illegal, after all, and the continuation of that condition is pretty unacceptable. Their genes do not concern me, I am frankly convinced long ago that people are fundamentally products of their environment, and that any person is going to be most strongly influenced by the examples set by their parents and the society of their peers; but some of the customs and habits I find quite offensive, especially in regard to their basic treatment of others - humans and animals (having said that, I find some of our own European/US customs and habits quite offensive too - but no need to make matters worse). Of greatest concern to me, however, is overpopulation, pure and simple. Not just here, but across the globe. It helps very few people or the environment, causes great harm for most, and let's face it, no other large mammal: 1 - was or is 7 billion strong, anywhere, at any time; 2 - has such a gluttony for resources; and 3 - is so incredibly capable of altering the fabric of the biosphere. The effects are both global and local; and I am greatly concerned about the US becoming another huge land crushed cheek to cheek with humans. It ain't healthy for people or anyone else.
