Going to Jongensgat in mid September and taking the Kiwa MW Loop which now seems to be working again. JP Sounds like you have a great location for MW DX. How easy is it for you to hear Australia & the Pacific, or South America? What's your best MW catch (distance vs power) so far? Kind of reminds me of when I was stationed at Andersen AFB on Guam. Sometimes MW DX would pour in from east Asia (Japan, China, Russia, Phillipines, etc.). However, there was always a lot of static from the seemingly ever-present tropical Pacific thunderstorms. I can sometimes hear France-1557 and Arabia-1521 here in Ohio. Is that Arabian on 1521 really running 2 megawatts? Do you know if it's pattern is directional? |
