Maybe the people that dislike taxes think all these services are free. EMS and Fire Dept. have been combined here,ever since Giuliani days. And if,God forbid, one needs an ambulance a very hefty bill is sent instantly. I'm not kidding. The local gov't is unable to support itself and lots of services have been cut. Police Dept is next. The only cops we'll see in the future will be on the television. Really. |
