The power jack has gone intermittent when using the wall wart and I need to install a new one. Any idea what something like that should cost? Jim Most of the time it may have just a small crack in the solder,on the PCB. Right under the jack. Checked that, unfortunately no luck there. Reflow all the relevant solder joints, just to be sure. Did that first thing, no luck. The problem with these pin connectors is more often than not an issue with the plug. Replacement is simple, once you've located the correct size. Cost will be around a buck and a half, perhaps a bit more. And replacement is not difficult. |
