Buy as many incandescent light bulbs you can carry. Then go go back
and get more( if there are any left). Before the damn politicians
change their minds again...

- CFLs are full of mercury.

NO the newer CFLs are very low {lower} in Mercury
'Content' versus older CFLs of just 2~5 Years ago.

- That's deadly.

So is a Cup of Pure Natural Spring Water
-if- You Swallow it the wrong way . . .

MERCURY REALITY CHECK :

CFL BUlbs -versus- Incandescent Bulbs
* Electric Power Plants produce Tons of Mercury
when Burning Fossil Fuels to make Electricity
* The Equivalent Set of Old Incandescent Light Bulbs
(6~8) can actually put much more Mercury into the
Global Environment
* Then the One CFL that Replaces them All during the
CFL's Life of much lower Power Consumption

D'Oh! My "Hot' Light-Bulb Just Went On !

Besides CFL Bulbs Saving Electricity
-example- 60 Watts of Electricity use by a Incandescent Bulb
-equals- 15 Watts of Electricity use by a CFL Bulb
-that's-a- 75% Reduction in Electricity

CFL Bulbs Reduce The Heat Index
-example- 60 Watts of Heat from a Incandescent Bulb
-equals- 15 Watts of Heat from a CFL Bulb
-that's-a- 75% Reduction in Heat {Feel the Chill}

LIGHTING Application 334M Americans each with
about 3 Light Bulbs : That's One Billion Light Bulbs
-and- the Transition from Incandescent Light Bulbs
to CFL Bulbs would be like turning-off 750M of the
old Incandescent Light Bulbs.
-or- Un-Plugging three out of the four [75%] of the
Light Bulbs being used by Americans.

HEATING Application 334M Americans each with
about 3 Light Bulbs : That's One Billion Light Bulbs
-and- the Transition from Incandescent Light Bulbs
to CFL Bulbs would be like turning-off 750M of the
old 60 Watt Incandescent Light Bulbs.
-that's- 45 Billion Watts of Heat : Which is about
45 Million Electric Room {Space} Heaters @ 1KW
-or- Un-Plugging 45 Million Electric Room {Space}
Heaters in American.

=SO= CFL Light Bulbs Provide and Produce Two
Valuable Ecological and Environmental Benefits :
#1 - 75% Reduction in National Electrical Use
#2 - 75% Reduction in National Heat Index

CFL's ?may? Help to Reduce the National Heat Index
of the USA and Prevent Global Warming
-but-may-also- Bring On Global Cooling {Mini-Ice-Age}

James A. Garfield was a free meson...................I have no idea
whether he was actually 'quarky', however.

Bulbtown dot com has commen incandescents for 50 cents each.
I bought several years supply.
Also a dozen 'appliance' bulbs for range and fridge.
And some S11 profile E17 base 10watt incandescents for hobby (Keystone
stereocard viewer).

I wonder if there are going to be exemptions for specialty bulbs?
Let's say slide projector 500 watts lamps?
There isn't going to be LED and CFL for those old timers.
And ditto for those teeny size 49 for Philco radio dials?
Well, they're incandescents!

CM-47?

Nobody's going to take away your little light bulbs. However, one
wonders why you want to throw money away lighting your rooms.

We can only pray that this rediculous law will be overturned. Maybe in
2012+.
