Have you noticed that the nitwits here don't realize a proper antenna, with good matching, feed, height, length, etc. will make a poor receiver out preform a VERY high priced receiver with a poor antenna? Better to have an excess amount of signals for your cheapie to sift through than having no signals to emphasize the futility of expense on that top notch unit. You can obtain pre-selectors and attenuators for just about any radio, but if there isn't anything coming into the shack, you're simply SOL.
