My theory is the magnetism is generated by solar radiation interacting with our iron nickel molten core. The sun has a magnetic field that we travel through as well. I don't how the earth's magnetic poles could reverse if they were being generated inside the earth by liquid metal spinning. How could you reverse that without major surface trauma? The sun, being made entirely of plasma and gas, is much more amenable to such radical shifts, in my humble opinion. In my even more humble and borderline worthless opinion, I agree. The core turning in and around the sun's field is probably what does it. They know the poles can change, though. There's lake sediment with alternating layers of iron bearing silt deposited at the bottom. hardened Magma shows different directions too. http://www.viewzone.com/poleshift.html I remember reading Immanuel Velikovsky when I was younger. He had some pretty good ideas concerning pole shifts and astronomical happenings. There was an explanation of why, in the Old testament, there are references to the sun rising in the west. Too bad this article is on a page of dubious quality. Velikovsky's books make excellent reading, however. The library is sure to have them. http://www.unmuseum.org/velikov.htm I know the poles reverse on occasion. I think there's some concurrent evidence of solar variability. |

I went back to that AT&T retail store again, this afternoon soon as the
WLBT 3 (somebody already said there is no such thing as WLBT 3 in backwater hick Mississippi, devilfinder.com it, WLBT Jackson,Mississippi [[Missy Sippy]] 12:00 PM tee vee noos was over. I espyed a Motorola ATRIX laptop dock with the keyboard and flip up/fold down screen monitor thangy sittin on display in the AT&T retail store, that store is just across Highway 80, about 750 foot steps South of doggy's couch, except I drove over there in my van. I asked one of those ladies who works there, Do y'all have the Motorola ATRIX smart phone and the Motorola ATRIX laptop dock keyboard for sale? She disappeared into the stock room for a few minutes. She stepped back out and she had two boxes she was toteing.I told her, I need to go to the bank first and check my balance. Then I went back to that self same AT&T retail store and I wrote a check for $748.98. $49.00 of that is Mississippi RIP OFF sales taxes. So now I am on a whole new learning curve, learning how to operate my new Motorola ATRIX stuff. I am thinking I am going to get on AT&T U-Verse, next month. U-Verse, (according to the guy at that AT&T retail store) will cost me $142.00 per month, includes more channels than I am getting with DirecTV and I can get high speed broad band internet service and keep my same old phone number too. Then I can dump my DirecTV service and my WebTV service. But I need first to learn up on using my Motorola ATRIX. cuhulin, the ATRIX |

No doubt, I will keep my phone docked onto my laptop keyboard all the
time/most of the time, because I don't tote. There isn't any sense me toteing my ATRIX phone to the Walmart food store and the Animal Health Products store, about every three months when I go there to buy doggy's dog food.Yesterday, inside the Dangerous Walmart store, I saw a guy pushing a shopping cart, he had his laptop computer sitting on that little kiddy seat thingy of that shopping cart.Somebody could have followed him to his vehicle and stold his laptop camputer. I want to put my favorite news sites and alternative news sites and online newspapers websites around the World, science, technology, whatever, (automobiles, trucks, classic and vintage) and online newsgroups/news forums such as rec.radio.shortwave into my ATRIX internal storage, so than when I want to turn on my ATRIX, I can easily click on those sites, same as I do with WebTV. Facebook, twitter, damn crap such as that, I never go there.google is the default search thingy (it appears to me) in my ATRIX.I want to make http://www.devilfinder.com my favorite default search engine in my ATRIX. cuhulin |

Nowadays, If I see something I want, I just buy it. No more guilt trips! Krypsis When I bought my Nikon DSLR I said to myself "This is the last camera I'll probably ever buy, what the ****!" I find small pocket digital camera a better bet as I am more likely to carry it. I have two cheapies and they are handy for those candid shots that pop up unexpectedly. I might just buy another with higher resolution in the near future. The DSLRs just seem too bulky to carry around unless you're into some serious photography. I used to use my old SLR about 30 or 40 years back when I was travelling OS a lot and didn't mind carrying some gear. Hmm, now that I come to think of it, I wonder where that camera is? I haven't seen it for over 25 years. Krypsis |
