Arra, I paid $199.99 for the phone and $499.99 for the laptop dock.I am
playing with the phone right now.Yeah, I am now sort of kind of thinking
maybe I will keep the phone and just get a refund on the laptop dock. The
phone is real neat, the latest technology and all that good stuff.I will
go back to that AT&T store tomorrow (on my way to the Goodwill store, of
course) and double check on how much the AT&T monthly service price is,
but I am not sure AT&T is charging me money for me to use my phone.I
have got to check that out.

Looka here, doggy's couch is less than one quarter of a mile from that
big tall cell tower on Lynch Street, over there behind Metrocenter
Mall.I wonder if any WiFi devices will get free WiFi signal from there
to doggy's couch? If I plug in one of my WiFi radios (Linksys Wireless B
Music System or my Aluratek WiFi clock radio, will they catch a good
enough signal so I can listen to live Ireland and Live Scotland and live
Isle of Manx radio?

Walmart doesn't sell HDTVs anymore? You ought to see the electronics
department in the Dangerous Walmart Supercenter store I go to, (Greenway
Drive near the intersection of Highway 18, about one and a half mile
South of doggy's couch) mostly for food shopping.I never counted them,
but I reckon there are at least twenty, maybe more, HDTV tee vee sets on
display over there.

There are at least seven Dangerous Walmart Supercenter stores in the
Jackson/Jackson metro area. The next nearest Dangerous Walmart
Supercenter store (in Clinton,Missy Sippy) is on Highway 80 about four
miles West of doggy's couch.I haven't been in that store in about a
month or so, but they had HDTV tee vee sets on display in there too.

Pickup on South Street movie is on my Sony Wega Trinitron 27 inchs flat
screen tv set right now, Fox Movie Channel.I bought that tv set in 2006
at one of the Cowboy Maloney stores around here. The movie on there looks
Great to me, even though it is not in HDTV.

Wal*Mart does not seem to carry the older 1080'i'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080i
{Interlaced Scan} HDTVs and now appear to only
carry the newer 1080'p' {Progressive Scan} HDTVs :

*********** 'p' is supposedly the real thing. In the '90s,
ProScan had a somewhat similar idea (analog,of course) and they
actually doubled the normal NTSC video to about 1050 line resolution .
Great (ingenious) , but the actual picture looked ... sort of washed
out . As far as I remember , the ' i ' versions of "HD" are a somewhat
similar approach ( digitally ) . That's the best I can define the
difference of ' i ' and ' p' nomenclature .

Interlaced vs progressive scan, meaning with interlaced half the
horizontal lines are scanned every other frame. This is an analog
requirement for some odd reason I can't remember. It just makes digital
video needlessly complicated.

Irregardless [sic], NBC and CBS both have committed to it.

My Sony Wega Trinitron has the usual Audio and Video jacks on the back
and there is one S-Video jack and the threaded jack where my DirecTV
cable is screwed on there and there is also one ATSC (what is ATSC?)
threaded jack on the back of the tv set. There are two Video jacks and
one Audio jacks under a little flip up panel on the front.I bought that
tv set at a Cowboy Maloney store on December 5,2006.

I have six or seven WebTV set top boxes and about that many wireless
keyboards and hand held remotes, they all work too.I have looked yet,
but I know there is a fuse inside of those WebTV boxes.

When I bought my first WebTV box on October 15,1999, I also bought a new
27 inch screen RCA CRT tv set, for my WebTV.It had ProScan.About two
something years ago, that RCA tv set kicked the bucket, it wouldn't turn
on at all, other than make a Bump noise when I tried to turn it on.I
think some capacitors or something was leaking, there was some messy
sticky stuff underneath the tv set.I set it out front for the garbage
truck to pick it up.I went to the Walmart store on Highway 80 in
Clinton, (about four or five miles West of doggy's couch) and I bought a
Sansui 27 inch screen CRT tv set, for my WebTV.

Man, if you watch the DirecTV Channel 3 modulator on your $1,000 Sony TV
don't start sweating the fine points of HDTV. You do not have golden eyes.

The first tv set I bought from a Cowboy Maloney store was a Toshiba.A
few days later that Toshiba developed a blur on the bottom left hand
side of the screen. That blur wouldn't go away.I took it back to Cowboy
Maloney and bought the Sony.I paid about $38.00 more in price difference
for my Sony.Somewhere around not much more than about $350.00 in toto, I
think, maybe it wasen't that much.I have my receipt somewhere around
here, it would take me forever to find it.No where near $1,000 did I
pay, not even near $500.00.So far, my Sony Wega Trinitron tv set is
still working just as good as new.It pulls in a Great picture, as far as
I am concerned.

ProScan . RCA's top-of-the-line . Nice try , designed to shut down in
case of nearly ANY malfunction and they all needed memory ic
replacements ! Bad memories-- most of them RCA and GE Tee-Vees found
a well deserved place in the dumpster ... S-video was an early
enhancement to raise the resolution to 480(i) lines . Analog days'
"HD" , sort of . My WebTV box has an S-video output in the back .
One time I hooked up a v-e-r-r-r-y e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e 6 foot S-video
jumper (by Kimber Kable) . It actually cost twice what I paid for the
WebTV and the WebTV keyboard combined ; the result was quite
interesting to see on a 35" 'high resolution' CRT monitor . The
devil is always in the detail ...

You should take good care of it . Don't spill any liquids or let any
birds sit on it . The result can be cat-a-strophic .
