Yes, I realize that I said you could have the last word, and although I
disagree with many of your points, I will respond to only one, as this post is becoming unwieldy. When Walker was a Milwaukee County executive, he fired all the union county security guards and replaced them with private guards from Wackenhut, a BRITISH company (so much for the Repubs being concerned about "jobs, jobs, jobs"). Later, the courts ruled that he illegally fired the original guards, who the county had to hire back, WITH back pay. Walker's union busting folly cost the county $500,000. Hmmm, maybe Walker is a part of the budget shortfall. Sleaze. D. Peter Maus wrote: Nice spin, Joe. But this is a political discussion. Spin is essential, isn't it. Spin? What has "spin" got to do with it? The point that I was illustrating was Walker's sleaze. Even before he became governor, he had a hard-on to bust the unions, so much so, that he did it *ILLEGALLY* in Milwaukee, as determined by the courts. A very germane and factual point to support my statement of Walker's sleaze, not "spin" at all. A matter of public record that clearly indicates Walker's mind set. At best, your "spin" statement is disingenuous; at worst, intellectually dishonest. |
