New (to me) radio...and NOISE.

Yes, but it varies with how the sun hits the panels and the state of charge. I figure the noise is from switching. It's a 'maximum power point tracker (mppt)', so the input can be up to 130+ vdc, while the output varies form zero to 14+ volts, depending what the state of the batteries is. Mid day is the loudest, when the noise is a constant screech. At first I thought it was the modified sine wave inverter, but after trying a smaller (800 watt) pure sine wave unit, I found there was NO reduction in the noise. The type of noise is really irritating, with some weird effects happening at sunrise's first light and again at sunset. Filtering would be nice. I hope it's more possible to do than trying to repair a modified sine wave inverter output. mike -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJNhMaZAAoJEJXfKw5kUPt7yEkH/RmOa6hUMlDGLZ4108tL1+3e 6xjlWoD/1KwN4jzwweNf68g6iO02UFq1MDmqKb5271nDsSV9ZXckNfVgqJ neOIZm AzEfn7xB0qmgYgWSvjmJuaOFhJ7Ls6aXeOnIlIRZEllDZAIZc8 IcUD5Q1Wm1v3UF SK3/78wWN2j7eoZshNFdFTAg6vqzqq09gR1LkxVTrwmb2Mx9jjoRoz DA0NsPC+7S n9bR6CcJQVdR1kKrbnPJUrp9dzdvQHh+TUsyb5k0MG/6GXlxutaqe7I4PuiC+/2X eAoVHxDesAduqw8kPxsgZqwpC81bh4xOdBnHf/c7p2w1WMZQaYOZFOTgA77dXJI= =eJHT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
