E-mail QSLs can be so unusual and perplexing...but, a verie is a
verie... AUSTRALIA: Australia VOLMET, Brisbane, 6676, simple verification, v/s by Peter Flint of Australian Aviation Meteorological Bureau in 1 days by e-mail; for e-mail report in EE & recording (Jensen-CA) SLOVAKIA: Nexus - Italian Radio Relay Service, Milan, Italy relay via Rimavska Soboda, Slovak Republic, 9670, simple verification, v/s by “Alfredo” of Nexus/IBA in 31 days by a messy series of e-mails; for e- mail report in EE (1 April 2011) & recording (Jensen-CA) |

AUSTRIA: ORF - Radio Osterreich International, Wien / Moosbrunn,
9820, f/d illegible signed confirmation letter w/pic “Garden of Mirabell Palace, Salzburg” by airmail in 12 days (via Slovenia) for report in English & recording by e-mail (Jensen-CA) This particular TX was during a time of technical difficulty, and all they did was play their interval signal over and over for an hour straight. Made ID easy anyway ;-) |

Yepp - two minute's worth :-D... 6155 R.OESTERREICH INT. 06:10 06:12 .234567 English 300 ND Moosbrunn The QSL was in English, and at that time, the sked said some English. This has changed, apparently. Now, the only English (apart from that 2 minute bit) is in their IS. |

A welcome one too :-) - BRITISH INDIAN OCEAN TERRITORY, Armed Forces
Network Diego Garcia, 12759U, 0140 UTC, in 20 days by regular mail for reception report in EE by mail to AFN - Riverside, California, USA Also got one of those friendly e-mails from Radio Fly, confirming that an e-mailed reception report (follow-up to a mailed report, possibly lost) was adequate to generate a QSL card when they get them printed up...but not sure how to count this one. Will wait and see how things shape up at Ok Tedi before I count my chickens. (JENSEN-USA) |
