About twenty something years ago I went to a Durham auction on I-55
South Frontage Road.A guy who was there and his wife (or girlfriend,
whatever) bought an old Checker car.That car wasen't painted like a
Checker Taxi would be painted, it was a solid black color Checker car,
but it might have been a Taxi at some point in time.They paid $700.00
for that old Checker car.When the auction was over, I saw them zooming
North in that old Checker car on I-55.I wouldn't doubt that old Checker
car is still running just fine right now.Those Checker cars were built
