I am merely cautioning people that all you need is a way to get audio from your radio to your soundcard (e.g. 3.5mm Male to Male interconnect; RCA to 3.5mm adapter; whatever's appropriate mechanically). I suggest fldigi software. It works fine and it doesn't cost a nickel. Installs in seconds. http://www.tigertronics.com/ http://www.w1hkj.com/ Digital hams welcome reception reports from SWLs. http://pskreporter.info/ |

It helps to get the input level to the soundcard right. My new laptop came with a microphone preamp enabled by default which resulted in overdriving of the soundcard when I plugged the rig in. I suggest fldigi software. It works fine and it doesn't cost a nickel. Installs in seconds. fldigi doesn't decode SITOR though. I haven't found any freeware which does it as well as my old KAM+ in LAMTOR mode. It'll do weather faxes from Pt. Reyes. |
