The Fred Shirley who went to Forest Hill School was a regular mild
mannered guy.He didn't do much jesting either.

Mrs.Ferguson (she was a very stern woman) ran the big old library at the
old Forest Hill school, one of my sisters and some of her friends used
to call it Ferguson's Funeral Home.

About 18 - 20 something years ago that old school was torn down and a
new 'modern' school was built in it's place.It looks Horrible!

My last class every day was in a room that had a big old fire escape,
wooden stars to the ground.When the bell rang, most of us would step out
one of the windows and run down the stairs to the school buses.
