I'm not sure about its non-Apple support being better. For instance,

Howard: pretty much any piece of Linux software can be recompiled for
Mac OS X. So if it works on Linux, you can make it work in precisely the
same way the Linux guys do: compile it and install it.

I can't do it if I don't have the source code nor the compiler.

But that's the point, Howard:

All the thing the Linux types blather on about are the ones for which
you can get the source codes and the compilers.

Bingo! The number one reason linux is superior, anyone can write apps
for it without purchasing anything ... indeed, if linux doesn't support
your app, you can even go the OS source and make it do so.

Linux is actually the system I would choose to have in the most wide
spread use in all areas of computing ... however, since it is given away
for free, fools cannot recognize the value ... hence, not a large enough
market share to interest game developers and other large market share
uses ... it is a crying shame and demonstrates the truth to the
statement, "85%+ of American are idiots."

But, dual boot to windows 7 and linux is well worth it ...

Can it load up windows libraries and run windows binaries?

You mean using WINE? Yup.

MACS are weak, and you will have to abandon any hope of running most
free/shareware apps or even popular mainstream apps ... they just aren't
written for the MAC ... the bitter truth.

Incorrect... ...as usual.

No, it is true ... all of my text ... anyone doubting it needs only
purchase a MAC and find out ... end of story. Let 'em put up or shut up.

Quick:

Name a Linux app you claim the Mac (please note that "MAC" is an acronym
for Media Access Controller, among other things, not the name of Apple's
computers).

Hey, let them buy the MAC and find out, most of us will enjoy a good
laugh. They have been warned ... alright already.

Trust me, if they come back and want to thank you, more power to them,
and you ... roflol!

No, only people who have the know-how and willingness to write their
own drivers can do so. Which is a very small subset of those who use
computers.

Yeah, in their case, the users you speak of, it only benefits by
allowing the apps to be created which are freely available and cheap ...
that is NOT a benefit to a minority, it is of true and real benefit to
all involved ...
