Just finished reading a book entitled " Fiasco: The American Military
Adventure in Iraq, 2003 to 2005" by Thomas E. Ricks.

Basically about, well, what a fiasco the Iraq "war" was (is) and how

Interesting book backed up with tons of facts and documentation, but

outcome, a neutral one and a bad one. Finally, he gives a fourth outcome
that he calls a "nightmare" outcome -- a pan-Arabic caliphate -- exactly
what ISIS is and what is happening right now. Remember, he wrote this in
2006. Did the guy have a crystal ball or what?

No, he was just guessing. If that were the ONLY outcome he came up with, then
he may have had a 'crystal ball'.

But, he covered all the bases, and fooled you into thinking he was some kinda
genius.




The point is not that he had -- or didn't have -- a "crystal ball."
The point is that this war had a nightmare outcome, very similar to
the worst possible outcome the author could envision.

If the Western world had tended to its own interests, instead of the
interests of the largely-Jewish oligarchs, there would probably be
1) no conflict with the Islamic world and 2) no Muslim immigration
and 3) close to zero terrorism.
