Daytona 500 ?
Steve, it's more like the commercial 500 for FOX. What a bunch of crap.
No wonder NASCAR has lost so many fans. I watch more and more Indycar and Formula 1. I even go to fewer NASCAR races than I used to. I used to go Daytona one year and Indy 500 the next. Now I go to Indy almost every year. Maybe 6 or so NASCAR. And at the least 8 to 10 Indy car races. What a bunch of crap. Drifter... |

But yes, there does seem to be a lot of commercials. |

Some take Daytona 500 as seriously as many take the Super Bowl. By race time, I've done so many Daytona 500 spots, some for the network, most for the local affiliates, I'm already tired of the race. It's fallen into that group of programming that includes the Oscars. |

One time I drove right by the race track, there wasen't a race going on though. Google,,, Smokey Yunick and Daytona |

Yesterday or the day before, I read somewhere that more accidents happen at Datona race track than any other race tracks in America. I get an Comcast/Xfinity TV channel that has auto racing. But, I really like dare devil dirt track racing better... and Irish Road Bowling (Google Youtube it) and Irish trotting horses on the roads in Ireland and Greyhound dog racing and Rodeos, and my couch buddy doggy. |
