This is my solution too! Stringing thin, black plastic coated wire between
windows & gluing it inconspicuously to the bricks

Can you attach an antenna along your windows (outside)? That's what I
do here in an apt. It's barely noticeable. I run it from the kitchen
window to the bedroom window, about 20 feet, taped down along the
window ledges.
