Shortwave is useful because when the power fails
- and everything is dark / off / not working.

you can pick up BBC from Antigua
( 5975) or Radio Canada from New Brunswick
( 13655 ) among others

I was struck by the fact that the outages occurred in USA first and then in
our ally Britain next ... may be just coincidence.
