I haven't had a 398 in years. Had one shortly after they came out. I wiped
the memory clean and programed it with what I wanted. "Jack" wrote in message ... On Mon, 22 Sep 2003 23:25:21 GMT, "CW" wrote: Once they're gone, they're gone. Reprogramming is the only option. Do the manuals with these things still claim that the pre set memories can't be erased? They're wrong. Thanks for the reply. My manual does, as does the one I found online. IOW, the SW band memories are completely reprogrammable, despite the manual? All I have to do is erase the memory and substitute my own selected freq.? I though the DX-398's stock-internal SW memories could not be erased or changed. Somehow, I've accidently managed to erase/change a bunch of the stock memories in my unit. And how do I correct this? Removing the batteries and/or using the reset switch do not reset the memories. Thanks! |
