Had one since Feb 02 and had nary a problem with it. Mine is built
well (built in late '01) and with my external antenna, I get stations
at room volume (great sound!) as if they were locals.

Good luck in your search, you will really appreciate the
"non-portable" sound, enjoy the big LCD and the non-muting tuning
knob.

I can agree with previous post. If you get a good one they are
fantastic. A good overall receiver for the money
