For the duration of the test, the radio sat in one place in a ground floor room. The only antenna used was a cheap $2 plastic dipole tacked haphazardly to the wall; it too remained in one place throughout the test. Here are my results I love my Model 88 but have never (with any radio) tried FM DX, even though I have an amplified RS ATV UHF/FM antenna which gives me a GOOD solid lock on locals, no doubt! And the sound of the 88 is really incredible. I got mine for $89 on eBay through an online store called HiFi.com, very good to deal with.... not sure if they are still around. Adam |
