Absolutely, positively right. One of the most important things to remember about any troller is that they get there jollies from *responses*, and they CARE LESS what the response is. You can respond to an obvious troll with anything from "Right on, Man! to "You are out of your freakin' mind!" or anything in between, and it MAKES NO DIFFERENCE TO THE TROLLER - YOU *BIT*, AND THEY GOT WHAT THEY WANTED. It is rare, but I have seen it happen that everyone on a usenet group ignores an obvious troll. They disappear amazingly fast. A clown will not perform for an empty house.
