I took one of them apart several years ago, and it was nothing but a loop that was constructed of something similar to RG-174 coax cable, with a break in the shield at the top. Pete I didn't think it looked impressive but haven't been overly impressed with any loops that I have tried except my DA5. I have only tried the RS loop and a few quickly thrown together home made ones besides the DA-5. I have collected the parts to assemble the AMRAD active antenna but have not found the time to start putting it together, too many "honey do's". Rob Mills ~ Tulsa |
