Actually having a radio that tunes in stations autiomatically to match the
ethnic "fingerprint" of an user is likely to be a by-product of US Government
research now underway which has the purpose of "smelling" people's backgrounds
(ethnicity) as the pass through airport security.

But the next logical step is to somehow detect people who are angry, or crazed,
in religious fervor, or looking forward to 73 virgins, or .......

But it doesn't stop there. Once identified thusly could a poison be developed
to target only certain ethnic groups, which would be harmless to other
ethnicities?

The CIA already has "binary" poisons, which are made up of two chemicals placed
in a person's body, either one being harmless by itself, and undetectable, but
when you add the other, bond to become a poison.

Sort of makes you wonder about recent (and future) history.

But a radio which responds to my body odors, and determines my mood, and
chooses a station for me, well that sort of takers the fun out of it. But then
again, if it could detect that I'm a DXer, and brings in Pago Pago on 60
meters, well then maybe I'd be well served.

My mood often swings according to what I hear. I'd hate to have a radio telling
me what mood I should be in.
